Lutz Huelle’s fall effort intrigued with unusual volumes and clin d’œil effects. The designer served up a volley of outerwear pieces mixing contrasting silhouettes and fabrics in one look. To wit: He redid the upper of a voluptuous camel wrap coat with the bulky shape of a khaki nylon bomber.
Elsewhere, the fronts of jeans jackets — rendered in blue or white denim — were buttoned to long wrap dresses, producing a kind of hybrid that skewed practical and versatile at once. He also sent out a series of elongated sports jerseys — some upped with pleats or sequins — which oscillated between indoors and out.
