‘Merging sartorial genres is a Lutz trademark, as well as a sense of urban pragmatism. Real life is constantly on the designer’s mind, who is clearly not interested in creating abstract concepts. His latest collection was an inventive blend of Haute Couture shapes with sportswear elements, both refined and edgy at the same time. His garments are intelligent ones, and they are on the timeless side, too.’ Philippe Pourhashemi talks to Lutz Huelle in the latest issue of BEHIND THE BLINDS, with photos by Patricia Ruiz del Portal. The Best of 2018 .. this year we did the ‘New Look’ Bomber and the ‘Starbomber’. We exaggerated the volume of sleeves of coats and shirts and cut them close to the neckline, calling them Oversleeves . There were Bellcoats and Waterfall Dresses, Denim and Lace and Lurex Jacquard. Prints of Roses, Dots and Crocodile. And there was a T-Shirt printed with ‘First and Last and Always’ intercut with pieces of Lace, our favourite piece of 2018.
